Why did August reveal the video?
After being humiliated by Wilhelm in front of The Society, August released the video he recorded of Simon and Wilhelm in bed. He was upset that Wilhelm would reveal his dire financial situation and take revenge in the worst possible way.
Before that, we’d seen August pondering whether or not to share the video, and even ask her friends about romantic ideas. Finally, in a fit of rage, he decides to broadcast it online through the office computer. However, Sara notices it from afar.
August brings Wilhelm food before telling him to follow his heart. The next day in Hillerska, all eyes are on Wilhelm and Simon as they enter the classroom. Finally, Wilhelm and Simon meet face to face for the first time since the video aired. They make sure the other is in the same boat.

Sara visits August. She tells him that she knows he is the author of the leaked sex tape. When he denies, she threatens to tell Wilhelm what she thinks. The latter prevents him from leaving and reveals that it is indeed he who revealed the video. When asked why, August responds that it is due to his anger at Wilhelm, who has everything. Sara declares that she will be quiet if August makes her a permanent resident of Hillerska.
After confronting August about the leaked videos, she mentions that she respects him and has always admired his way of acting. August is quite incredulous, but the couple ends up kissing and dating. Love may be a bit over the top here, but there is definitely affection between them.
Youngs Royal season 1 finale explained
After noticing the pixels in all of August’s photos, Felice tells Wilhelm that it was August who leaked the sextape. He declares that August is no longer part of the family and calls the Queen to tell her. She already knew. She claims that she is protecting him and the monarchy by not going public and punishing August. Outraged, Wilhelm ends the call. The Young royals season 1 ends with Wilhelm in a public hug with Simon before Wilhelm is kicked out for the Christmas holidays.
To Youngs Royal season 1 finale, Wilhelm breaks the fourth wall and looks directly into the camera. This happens after meeting Simon and in the driving car. It is an important moment in which Wilhelm is aware of the public’s attention and remains committed to changing his life.
