The public gets to know Cleo in the season 2 premiere. She is one of Captain Terrance’s ship crews and is on deck when Terrance learns that John is a suspected cop killer and that there is a $ 50,000 bounty for his capture. One night, while Sarah is alone, she is taken away and Cleo visits John to inform him of what happened.
In the second episode, Cleo develops a strong bond with Sarah. She shows that although she is a thief and a smuggler, she can be fiercely loyal to her loved ones. She becomes very concerned after Sarah is shot and puts pressure on John to keep her friend safe.
She convinces Terrance not to leave the harbor without John and Sarah, allowing Ward to get his gold back. But even then, help Sarah and John escape the authorities and get out of Nassau.
Cleo returns at the end of season 2. After what happened in Nassau, she was forced to leave the city and, at one point, took a job on the ship carrying the Cross of Saint Domingue.
He then reunites with John and helps him, along with his friends, in his attempt to save Sarah and retrieve the Cross. If they succeed in executing the first part of the plan, they fail in the second. The Cameron family already had the gold. Now they also have the Cross. During this time, Cleo and the rest end up on a seemingly deserted Caribbean island.
