Catherine Zeta-Jones Joins The Cast Of The Addams Family Reboot (Netflix)

The new television adaptation of The Addams Family directed by Tim Burton has finally found its Morticia Addams. According to a famous American media, Catherine Zeta-Jones got the role of the mother of the reboot consisting of ten episodes.

Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones (The mask of Zorro, high acrobatics) will follow in the footsteps of famous Anjelica Huston, who played the role of the matriarch in the iconic 1991 film, and star Charlize Theron, who played her in the 2019 animated remake.

Netflix also recently announced via Twitter that Jenny Ortega (You, Jane the Virgin) will play the girl named Wednesday Addams and Luis Guzmán (Narcos, the dead end) was selected to play the role of Morticia’s husband, also known as Gomez Adams.

The plot of the new series will focus on the girl Wednesday Addams, a student at Nevermore Academy. Tim Burton will direct the new reboot, while creators Miles Millar (Shanghai boy) and Al Gough (Smallville) write the scenarios.

The company with the red logo has yet to announce a release date for the original new creation. But while you wait to learn more, check out the new features coming to Prime Video August 9-15, 2021.
