When the original version of the Justice league was released in 2017, it was arguably a financial disappointment for Warner Bros. Pictures. The film grossed $ 657.9 million against a budget of $ 300 million. It’s certainly not a small comeback, but it wasn’t at all the smash hit the studio had hoped for, especially since the film received critical criticism. This paved the way for the Justice League by Zack Snyder.
Director Zack Snyder was forced to quit the project due to a family tragedy before it was completed. This led to Joss Whedon taking over post-production. Instead of just finishing what Snyder did, Whedon extensively rewrote the script and oversaw numerous covers. It ended up being what fans saw in theaters and the results weren’t great.
