Tribeca Review: ‘Four Samosas’ is a side dish with an added kick

June 27, 2022

Four samosas might be the most unique film to come out of this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, as it lovingly incorporates Indian cultural ideals into an American B-movie heist format.

Bending genre expectations to breaking point, while introducing elements of farce so absurd they border on pure genius. while layering concise comedic introductions on top of each other in quick succession, Four samosas just keeps gaining momentum over its runtime, feeling like a cross between independent totem Clerks and reservoir dogs minus guns, violence or foul language.
