Sundance’s winner on Putin’s opponent who survived an assassination attempt will air tomorrow via HBO Max

A repressive regime does not always attract criticism, but Alexi Navalny ignored this aspect of Vladimir Putin’s power in Russia. His courage in fighting it is told in Navalny, and now the Sundance Film Festival documentary is heading to HBO Max.

News of the 2022 HBO Max and CNN Films co-produced effort examining the opposition leader, lawyer and anti-corruption activist coming to the streaming service tomorrow is revealed by WarnerMedia in a press release posted on their site today. The film is directed by Daniel Roher and follows Navalny as he recovers from a nerve agent assassination attempt in 2020.
