
It’s clear that the Disney Plus era of star wars took more than a page or two from the Marvel Cinematic Universe playbook, which began by tasking Jon Favreau with building a shared universe of interconnected stories tied to well-known mythology. Unfortunately, the franchise has also picked up some undesirable habits.
Most egregious is fake death, which has been the bane of the MCU from the very beginning, with Obi Wan Kenobi emphasizing the importance of making sure your enemy is completely and unequivocally 100% dead before leaving the scene and going to do whatever the character in question wants to do next.
