KFC joins ‘Morbius’ memeing

May 25, 2022

In a time of national tragedy and international war, when people seem more politically divided than ever, there is a set of objective truths that everyone can still agree on:

  1. That Morbius movie with Jared Leto was a stench.
  2. Jared Leto seems hard to work with, so it’s fun to watch him go through all the stages, including the horribly awkward press tour Sony threw for him.
  3. It’s really fun to poke fun at every aspect of this movie.
  4. The fact that, despite Morbius being glued by critics, it still made enough money to warrant a sequel, that’s great, even if the world’s most handsome actor, Matt Smith, was as confused by the film as the director and fans l were, didn’t want to do it in the first place, and preemptively refuses to show up for a sequel.
  5. Director Daniel Espinosa seems like a nice guy in serious denial.
  6. It doesn’t seem like Sony executives know what they’re doing, or maybe even haven’t read a comic or watched a comic book movie, and just hope that sticking a successful title on a movie poster will rake in the money at the MCU level. That being said, a standalone Aunt May movie sounds Morbius-bad level and we hope they go through with it.
  7. This Leto/Holland crossing does not occur.
  8. It’s fun to make memes about the whole thing.
