Creepy supernatural horror haunts the Disney Plus charts

Looking at all of his filmography up to this point, Scott Cooper hasn’t quite stood out as the ideal candidate to direct an R-rated supernatural horror film that had fantasy master Guillermo del Toro as one of the producers.

The filmmaker had led Jeff Bridges to an Oscar for best actor in a country musical drama Crazy Hearthad collaborated twice with Christian Bale on a crime thriller Out of the Furnace and Western revisionist Hostileswhile he also oversaw Johnny Depp’s best performance years after the star buried himself in prosthetics to play Whitey Bulger in Black mass.
