An unlikely serial killer sequel is playing mind games with the Netflix charts

Outside of Hannibal Lecter, a series of psychological thrillers revolving around serial murder don’t tend to create long-running, lucrative film franchises, which might be part of why Morgan Freeman’s stint as Alex Cross ended after just two episodes. Then again, lackluster reviews and lukewarm box office numbers might as well be to blame.
