The term “made-for-TV movie” still carries negative connotations, especially when the myriad streaming services on offer regularly release Oscar contenders and $200 million blockbusters. Therefore, Wobbly house was lost in the shuffle when it debuted to little fanfare in 2017.
However, the murder mystery should have gotten more attention than it did, due to the strength of the source material and the stacked actors that were put together to bring it to life. Looking at the set, if Gilles Paquet-Brenner’s fast-paced double-crossing and deception tale had arrived a few years later, it would have made a sterling streaming original from one of the main players.
