How many episodes of Loki season 1 are there on Disney Plus?
Like Falcon and The Winter Soldier, the Loki season 1 should have 6 episodes. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has also confirmed that each episode of Loki will last between 40 and 50 minutes. This figure is in line with previous comments from the Marvel boss that the MCU series will have around six hours of content.
The series was originally scheduled to debut on Friday, June 11, but Marvel announced in a promotion with Hiddleston in May that it would be brought forward two days to begin on Wednesday, June 9. The episodes will air every Wednesday for six weeks throughout the series. Unless the schedule changes or surprises, the finale of Loki is scheduled to air on Wednesday, July 14.
The change to Wednesday is a change for the MCU. The previous two Disney + Phase 4 films, WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, opened on Friday. While Loki enjoys his tricks, the switch to Wednesday seems purely strategic. Black Widow, the MCU’s theatrical comeback from the pandemic, is set for July 9.
If Loki had stayed on Friday, the projects would probably compete for the fans. The change to Wednesday allows the penultimate episode of Loki to release two days before Black Widow, perhaps giving enough space for both projects to be successful.
