Young Justice Season 4: Everything We Know

Developed by Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman, “Young Justice” is a superhero series that focuses on the adolescence and early adulthood of superheroes in the DC Universe. Superheroes like Aqualad, Superboy, Miss Martian, and Kid Flash work together to complete secret missions for the Justice League. It is important to note here that while the animated series title is the same as Todd Dezago, Peter David, and Todd Nauck’s comic series, this is not a direct adaptation.

The action-adventure series first aired on November 26, 2010 on Cartoon Network. After the first two episodes aired, the channel ended the series, which was later transferred to DC Universe for the third season. The teen series was critically acclaimed and praised for its mature stories. In December 2011, it was ranked 20th in IGN’s “Top 25 Comic Shows of All Time.” The series has garnered criticism with its premium animation and its new interpretation of familiar characters. Naturally, fans are eager to know when they can watch season four, so here’s all the information we have!

Young Justice season 4 release date

Season 3 of ‘Young Justice’ landed on January 4, 2019 on DC Universe, and the season ended on August 27, 2019. The third season consists of 26 episodes that have been divided into two parts of 13 episodes. The episodes last approximately 25 minutes each.

As for the fourth series, this is what we have. On July 20, 2019, the series received an order for its fourth installment at Comic-Con in San Diego. The title of the next season was revealed as ‘Young Justice: Phantoms’. However, on September 18, 2020, it was announced that the series would be moving once more, with Season 4 scheduled to air on HBO Max. The next season will consist of 26 episodes, like seasons 1 and 3.

Series developer Greg Weisman has engaged with fans and provided updates. In November 2020, it revealed that the scripts for all 26 episodes had been written. The registration of 22 of them had been completed, while the other four were in the final stages of the process. As of March 2021, it reported that nine episodes were in the box, while five were in post-production. Weisman also said that 12 episodes are in the animation phase. If things continue to progress at the same pace, fans can expect ‘Young Justice’ season 4 to release in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Young Justice Season 4 Cast: Who Can Be A Part Of It?

The fictional superhero group called The Team includes Dick Grayson / Robin (Jesse McCartney), Kaldur’ahm / Aqualad (Khary Payton), Superboy (Nolan North), M’gann M’orzz / Megan Morse / Miss Martian (Danica McKellar ), and Artemis Crock / Tigresse (Stephanie Lemelin). Therefore, the mentioned voice actors will continue to lend their voices to their respective characters. It is not yet known if Wally West / Kid Flash (Jason Spisak) will return in season 4, as he is supposed to die in the season 2 finale.

With each cycle, new characters join the mix. In cycle 3, Prince Brion Markov / Geo-Force (Troy Baker), Violet Harper / Halo (Zehra Fazal) and Victor Stone / Cyborg (Zeno Robinson) take the stage. Lobo might have a bigger role to play in season 4, so we might hear David Sobolov’s voice again. The final moments of season 3 herald the involvement of the Legion of Super-Heroes, which means that we will definitely see other characters in the next cycle.

Young Justice season 4 plot: what is it?

The third season turns out to be quite eventful. At the end of the season, the Justice League has a new leader, but it is unclear who will lead the team. We learn that the leaders of the Justice League, the Outsiders, Batman Inc., and the Team secretly worked together. In the final moments of the episode, a waitress is seen in a restaurant wearing the Legion of Super-Heroes ring. In the post-credits scene, Lobo kills a miniature version of himself that emerged from the finger he lost in the previous battle.

The fourth season, titled “Young Justice: Ghosts,” could include the Legion of Superheroes, which has the ability to travel back in time if dramatic situations call for it. Wally West could be resurrected, and season 3 also heralds the return of Red Hood. Therefore, these characters could play an important role in the next season. In general, the team has a lot to come and things are going to get very interesting.
