Based on a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ken Wakui, “Tokyo Revengers” is a shounen action anime that revolves around 20-year-old Takemichi Hanagaki, who hears the news that his college girlfriend Hinata Tachibana, was killed by famous Tokyo Manji Gang. One day, on his way home from work, someone pushes him onto the tracks when a train speeds up. Instead of dying, he discovers that he has traveled back in time to when he was in college. Takemichi decides to take charge of his destiny and make Hinata alive. The series first aired on April 11, 2021. Here’s everything you need to know about the next episode of the series.

Tokyo Revengers episode 3 release date

Episode 3 of “Tokyo Revengers” will air on April 25, 2021 on MBS, TV Tokyo, TV Aichi, TVh, TVQ, BS Asahi, AT-X, TSK, QAB and RKK. On March 30, 2021, the series premiered in Japan where important scenes from the first three episodes were aired together. Liden Films Studios developed the series, with Kouichi Hatsumi as lead director and Yasuyuki Mutou as lead screenwriter. Hiroaki Tsutsumi created the music and Kenichi Oonuki and Keiko Oota designed the characters. Pop group Official HiGE DANdism sang the show’s opening song, “Cry Baby,” while Eill sang the closing theme, “Koko de Iki wo shite.”

The original Japanese episodes of “Tokyo Revengers” with English subtitles will be available on Crunchyroll and VRV outside of Asia the same day they air in Japan. For viewers in South and Southeast Asia, the official YouTube channel of Muse Asia, its affiliates and Bilibili will stream the episodes continuously. In Japan, viewers can watch anime on Netflix Japan with Japanese audio and subtitles.

Tokyo Revengers Episode 3 Spoilers

In episode 2, Naoto makes Takemichi read everything the police have about the Manji gang. They deduce that if they shake hands, Takemichi can go back in time. Naoto tells him that he must make sure that the two current leaders of the gang, Manjirou “Mikey” Sano and Tetta kisaki, do not meet in the past. When they shake hands, Takemichi discovers that he has once again traveled to the past, which makes him realize that Naoto was right in his assessment. However, he can’t spend much time thinking about it, as his young self and his friends are slaves to the Kiyomasa gang.

When Takemichi tries to ask the gang about Mikey and Tetta, Kiyomasa almost beats him to death. Takemichi’s determination to save Hinata is rejuvenated after meeting her and her willingness to protect him. Takuya Yamamoto, the most fragile person among Takemichi’s friends, is supposed to fight in the underground fights organized by the Kiyomasa gang. The episode ends when Takemichi challenges Kiyomasa himself. In Episode 3, Takemichi was able to fight Kiyomasa and impress Mikey and his subordinate Ken “Draken” Ryuuguuji, who could recruit him for the Manji gang.
