To Your Eternity ”is a type of anime that never ceases to amaze its audience. Developed from a manga series written and illustrated by Yoshitoki Ooima (‘A Silent Voice’), it revolves around the extraordinary journey of an alien entity on Earth. Originally a nameless white orb, the protagonist becomes increasingly human as the story unfolds. Episode 9 of “To Your Eternity,” titled “Deep Memories,” will air June 7, 2021 on NHK Educational TV. Originally, the anime was supposed to be released in October 2020, but it was delayed to April 2021 due to the COVID situation. Season 1 will have 20 episodes. Base du Studio Brain hosted the series, with Masahiko Murata leading the production team and Shinzou Fujita leading the writing team. Ryou Kawasaki composed the music and Koji Yabuno drew the characters. Hikaru Utada performed the opening song “PINK BLOOD”, while Masashi Hamauzu performed the closing song, “Mediator”.

Viewers outside of Asia can watch the series with original Japanese sound and English subtitles on Crunchyroll and VRV on the day it airs in Japan. In episode 8, Rean comes to the brewery one day and asks if he can stay and work there. Although the brewer is not sure what it is, he agrees to his request. Gugu feels incredibly uncomfortable around him and learns that his wounds have yet to heal. When he talks to the brewer, the brewer reveals that he placed an organ inside Gugu’s body to store the highly distilled alcohol. The brewer tells him to rub the alcohol on Rean’s wounds. Furious that his body had been used in this way, Gugu leaves and returns to the old camp he shared with his brother.

His ex-employer, very friendly, gives him back his job and even offers to come and live with his family. However, the employer’s son refuses to accept Gugu and calls him a monster. Gugu hears this word wherever he goes. Deciding to be who he is, Gugu stops wearing the mask. One day, he finds his brother lying in an alley, thin and sick. Gugu gives his brother the ring Rean gave him, hoping that she will transform the older boy from a loser into a human. That night, Gugu is kidnapped, but Fushi arrives on time and saves him. In Episode 9, the bond between Fushi, Gugu, and Rean will grow even stronger. However, a malicious force quickly approaches to disturb their peace.
