Hige wo Soru Episode 3 Spoilers
In episode 2, Yoshida takes Sayu out shopping for her cosmetics, but when he tries to give her a phone, she vehemently replies that she doesn’t need it. Yoshida realizes that the things he says and the way he smiles in these cases are not particularly genuine. Later, back at her apartment, she tells him to be herself when she starts over. After some hesitation, Sayu tells her that he is the kindest person she has ever met, which reminds her of what he told her earlier: raising her standards. She adds that she is nice herself as she takes care of the housework.
At work, Mishima, one of Yoshida’s subordinates, makes some mistakes while completing a project he’s involved in. When he learns that Yoshida could be removed from the project due to his mistakes, he spends overtime working that night to fix them. Airi believes that Yoshida started dating Mishima after she rejected him. Later, she invites him to dinner and confronts him about it, explaining that it bothers her that he moved so fast after telling him he liked her. Yoshida assures him that there is nothing between him and Mishima, but he is disappointed because he expected something else to come out of this dinner.
Yoshida then gives Sayu the phone he bought from her earlier. He notices that his smile seems genuine this time, but he still doesn’t understand teenage girls. In episode 3, Yoshida and Sayu were able to start settling into their new living environment. She could go on a business trip, leaving Sayu home alone for the first time since she moved. Sayu might meet Airi for the first time, and the two might have an antagonistic relationship at first.
