Log Horizon Season 4: Release Date, Cast, and Story Details

May 12, 2021

One of the first modern isekai, Log Horizon, just finished in March of this year. Produced by Studio Deen, the plot centers around a massively multiplayer online game, Elder Tale. If you are familiar with another “Sword Art Online” anime, you will have no trouble understanding the concept of Log Horizon.

Although not as popular as SAO, Log Horizon has built a very dedicated fan base over the years. After all, the show has been around since 2013 and even after 7 years, it doesn’t seem like the show is about to go away.

With season 3 finished, the talks for season 4 are still up in the air. Log Horizon follows the novel of the same name and there is still a lot of material left in the novel for the anime to cover. With the season 4 premiere, we will learn more about the world of Elder Tale and its people. Find out the release date, cast, and story for Season 4 of Log Horizon.

Log Horizon Season 4 Release Date

As of this writing, no official announcement has been made regarding the release date for Log Horizon season 4. However, fans are looking forward to the next season, as the anime has been successful both in Japan and around the world. There could be a multi-year delay in the production of Log Horizon season 4.

If you look at the history of this anime, you will notice that there has been a long delay between seasons 2 and 3. So it is likely that season 4 will run the same fate. However, the chance of Season 4 coming is pretty high at this point.

Shiroe is the main character of the anime.

Studio Deen may wish to wait for the release of a few more new volumes before resuming the series. Or in another scenario, they can launch the next season quickly because the last season only spanned 12 episodes. Regardless, considering what happened in season 3, fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of season 4.

Log Horizon Season 4 Casting

We have no official casting information at this time, but general speculation suggests that the current members will be reprising their roles. This speculation stems from the fact that the actors have been loyal to the series even after long delays.

Jad Saxton and Mike Yager, who played the characters Akatsuki and Shiroe, will likely return for the next season. Likewise, we can expect to see Luci Christian and Maggie Flecknoe in action again for an upcoming Log Horizon premiere.

Log Horizon Season 4 Story

The anime Log Horizon is inspired by his novels. We can hope that the series will pick up the story of these novels for the next season. Season 3 saw Akatsuki and his teammates defeat Eirenus Genius and free all the adventurers.

Season 3 adapted elements from volume 12 titled “Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table” and elements from the novel 13. Also, the name of the third season is the same as that of volume 12.

In season 4, the story can follow volume 14 of the novel “Twilight Orphan” and continue the story.
