Central Park Season 2 Episode 4 Recap

The fourth episode of season 2 of “Central Park” is titled “Surely you realize that this means Ward.” In this episode, Owen prepares for an annual school trip, a major event in his life. But his mentor and childhood idol, Dr. Ward Whitlinger, has disappeared from the radar and, according to Owen, the trip will be a failure in his absence. So Paige uses her exceptional stalking skills to get her hands on the man, helping to avoid the crisis.

Elsewhere, Cole accompanies Molly to attend an indoor kite competition in which Brendan participates. Cole believes that a good presentation, in addition to his exemplary kite flying skills, could earn him more points. So he convinces Molly to help him create a compelling choreography and fashionable outfit for Brendan. On the other hand, Bitsy decided to write a memoir about his family history, including the three dogs he played with. But she no longer remembers their names, which frustrates her and prompts her to call her brother, who writes his own memoir on his own. Bitsy takes this as a challenge, resolving to create a better parody. But when both manuscripts are rejected, Bitsy still insists that his is better, and the publisher confirms it too.

However, upon returning home, Bitsy realizes that she had just tried to appease her father by being the best daughter. Dr. Whitlinger finally returns, but sadly in the form of a nihilist who has lost all hope in the realm of nature. Having no other choice, Owen takes the stage and inspires children to dream of a better world. Brendan is nervous before his performance due to the complexity of his new choreography. Molly reassures him by telling him that she’s backing him no matter what, and Brendan shows up in his Space Matador costume. She eventually abandons her new choreography, but keeps her costume when her name is finally announced.
