86 Anime Episode 3 Spoilers

In Episode 2, it is May 22, Star Year 2148. Lena introduces herself to the Spearhead Unit as its new manager. A week passed without incident. And then, on April 29, the legions of the Empire make their appearance. Lena suggests that the unit deploy to a certain position before knowing that they are already out in a forward position. When the spearhead collides with a massive army of Empire drones, Lena gets a glimpse of what Shin is truly capable of. The battle ends with a landslide victory and the withdrawal of the remaining forces of the Empire.

Later, Lena attends a recruiting class for dog sitters. The professor reviews the history of the conflict, blaming it solely on the actions of the Empire. He explains to his students that the Republic now believes that the Legion wiped out the entire population of the Empire four years earlier, and that it will be another two years before the Legion’s drones come to a complete halt. However, when she claims that the Republic has not lost a single citizen in this conflict, Lena intervenes and speaks passionately about the 86, who are not even considered human by the people of Alba. Lena turns to Shin after finding some discrepancies in the unit’s accounts and asks him to do full reporting from now on.

The episode ends with a smile from Shin, who realizes that Lena may be the first dog trainer to be truly dedicated to her job. In Episode 3, Lena was able to show the Spearhead Squad how much she understands battlefield tactics. Shin could start making efforts to meet his new master. Lena may be disappointed in Karlstahl after learning that he has never taken steps to improve the treatment of the 86ers.
