Pennyworth Season 2 Ending Explained!
In the end of season 2, Alfred and his friends have returned home. The League celebrates this great victory, Thomas and Martha Kane agree to get married and Alfred brings his father back home so he can reunite with his wife, Mary. However, not everything goes according to plan. In reality, the League only stole a decoy. The “Storm Cloud Project” is actually hidden in the coffin containing Lord Harwood’s body, which is still in the church where Salt’s televised eulogy took place.
While Troy intended to kill Alfred once and for all, he changed his mind after learning of the threat from “Stormcloud” during a visit to the English League headquarters. Troy and Lucius Fox arrive on the scene to save Alfred and Dave Boy, but when Lucius tries to defuse the bomb, he realizes that it is too late. At the Raven Union headquarters, Salt activates the weapon when attacked by Beth Sykes and her sister. At the church, Fox explains that they only have a few moments before the bomb goes off. Alfred volunteers to swallow the “Stormcloud” capsule, hoping to contain the explosion, but Troy ends up making the sacrifice for him.

The blue compound from “Stormcloud” takes over Troy, killing him but containing the detonation. With the bomb threat finally over, Salt is arrested by the Ravens Union army for his crimes and Frances Gaunt takes his place at the helm of the organization. But when Troy’s body is dragged out of the church and locked in the back of a truck, the blue energy of “Stormcloud” shines through the windows under Alfred’s horrified gaze.
At this point, “The Lion and the Lamb” leaps forward six months. With him, he brought the League’s super soldier: Gulliver Troy. Turns out Troy didn’t die after swallowing “Stormcloud.” Instead, his body has been transformed and he now has special abilities that have transformed him into a one-man army.
In another part of London, Martha, who is now married to Thomas, is giving birth in her apartment. Thomas is there to help her get through this ordeal while a nurse gives birth. The real shock, however, comes when the nurse reveals that the baby is a girl. Thomas and Martha are delighted with the news, but fans are wondering what it means for Bruce Wayne’s future.
