Panic Season 2: Prime Video Cancels Series

August 8, 2021

Inspired by a 2019 novel by Lauren Olivier, the original creation produced by Prime Video followed a group of students who risked their lives in illegal gambling to win a significant sum of money to leave their hometown.

The first season starred Ray Nicholson (The stranger, the losers’ revenge), Olivia Welch (Street of Fear, Shithouse), Jessica Sula (Split, honey trap), Enrique Murciano (FBI: Missing), Mike Faist (West Side Story, can I, will I?) and Rachel Bay Jones (Checkmate, United States of Al).

After its launch on May 28, the new series earned an average rating of 6.5 / 10 on the US site IMDb. But despite a correct rating, Prime Video decided to cancel the drama series after only one season.

The original creation was heavily promoted by Amazon Prime Video, which was expecting immense success. But sadly, the fiction failed to generate much interest among the streaming platform’s subscribers. To comfort yourself from this sudden stop, discover the three new members of the Euphoria cast.
