Panic is a series about games full of adrenaline and putting your nerves to the test. In fact, it’s Hunger Games, Fear Factor, and Saw all rolled into one. For those of you who don’t know, this Panic game takes place in a quiet Texas town called Carp. Every year all seniors can enter a competition and there is only one winner.
New judges and challenges are offered to keep things fresh, but the game is also mired in controversy. Many people have died over the years, and the previous year they even saw two dead bodies, Abby and Jimmy. To discover the explanation of the end of season 1 of Panic, keep reading! Before continuing, if you want to know when the second season will be released, read this.
What happened to Jimmy and Abby?
One of the greatest mysteries of Panic It comes from what happened at the games last year. Specifically, the deaths of Jimmy and Abby. With Sheriff Cortez in charge, he sends Langley and John on a geese hunt around town to make people forget what really happened. As we soon found out, Abby was pregnant at the time of her death. Jimmy committed suicide during a game of Russian roulette after trading his practice pistol for a real pistol that was kept in his father’s safe.
Meanwhile, Abby wanted to quit the game, but received harassing letters accusing her of being pregnant and promising to reveal her secrets. This pushed Abby to the limit, forcing her to continue participating in the games. In this challenge, blindfolded, he throws himself into traffic and dies.
Who was the crooked player?
Cortez manipulated Dodge into believing that Ray and his family were responsible for the mutilation of his sister Dayna. In doing so, he devised a plan with him to allow Dodge to enter Panic and take revenge. Later, Cortez bet on Dodge’s victory, using all his tricks to try to eliminate the other players, as before.
But this time, Heather gets it all thanks to the identical handwriting on the betting slips and a letter delivered to her sister Lily. Cortez made the girl wait in the tiger enclosure, but obviously Heather showed up and managed to keep her calm. It also allowed him to bring the truth to his friends and stop Cortez before it was too late.
Panic season 1 ending explained
The panic season 1 finale see Heather and the corrupt sheriff go head to head. As they rush into a collision in a suicidal task of driving cars toward each other, the tiger suddenly comes between them. Heather brakes in time, but the sheriff loses control of her car, which crashes violently. The bruised bailiff makes his way through the forest to keep his identity a secret. He is ambushed by his wife Mélanie, who kills him for his crimes. By killing him, Mélanie destroys one of Panic’s most disturbing stakeholders. However, even darker figures are likely to lurk in the upper echelons of the old competition.
We then see that Heather receives a secret package containing the prize money, indicating that Panic won. However, all in Panic season 1 finale, Heather is shocked when a scarecrow with the game’s distinctive symbols is thrown onto her car’s windshield.
So is the game still relevant today? In the wake of the tumultuous edition of Panic that just ended, we see the players involved go on the chase of their lives. However, the symbols on the scarecrow that Heather addresses closely resembles the symbols used in the game to direct players to the clues. It’s also worth noting that after Heather receives her cash winnings, the annual issue of Panic is officially over. Which makes the appearance of a track even weirder now.
The only explanation is that while the game is over for the other players, Heather, who won, now plays Panic at a higher level. The game’s dark past suggests that it contains many layers, and the creators and authors of the game are still unknown. With the corrupt sheriff and Luke guilty of manipulating and gambling on Panic’s results, the real people who control the game are now closing in on Heather. Considering that the reason she joined Panic was to earn money for college, which she did, it remains to be seen whether or not Heather will follow suit.
